When beginning to make my New Animal project I automatically got the idea of merging old animals with the newest animal. The everyday businessman. I liked the overall concept and decided to create a surreal piece. The day to day businessmans habitat is a jungle just as most animals. (Also we are technically monkeys walking around talking wearing clothes lol.) I wanted to give it this feel so lighting and scenery were necessary. It took a lot of scrolling through pictures on the web to find one that I really thought would set the mood. Although this wasn't my ideal scenery, it posed as a easy enough background to work with and I was short on time.
Another task I had to accomplish was finding good quality forward facing animal heads that would mesh well with the bodies. Luckily the panda and the elephant were easy to find but the lion was a bit more difficult due to its mane. If I could change anything about this piece it would be to make it a combo of animals not man and animal. I did not pay close enough attention to the rubric because I was too excited for my concept. For my clone project I decided to use the cars in the Jr. lot to my advantage. There was already plenty of great shots planned in my head the minute I saw the perfect rows of cars.
